A good time was had by all at the unofficial "biggest gathering of Boykins in the northeast." 23 Boykin Spaniel owners/lovers and
their 14 dogs spent the morning in an organizational meeting at the Bass Pro Shops store in Harrisburg,PA. The group adopted
temporary bylaws, appointed interim officers and organized a number of committees. With the business of the day behind them
the group enjoyed a picnic lunch then headed off to Central Penn Sporting Clays for an afternoon in the field with their little brown
friends. The afternoon was highlighted with a mock hunt series for all to experience, training demonstrations and discussions
and even a few games for all to participate in. Congratulations to Lucy and Brandi for their first and second place finishes in the
speed dog challenge and to all of the "winners" in the Hot Dog Retrieve!! A big thank you goes out to both Bass Pro Shops
Harrisburg, PA and Central Penn Sporting Clays for all of their assistance in making the event a success!!!
